Privacy
This site uses no cookies and doesn't track you. Below is exactly what does happen.

Who is responsible
De Rechter Software, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) owned by Thijs de Rechter, Molenwater 20, 4511 BN Breskens, the Netherlands. KvK 98466402. For privacy questions, email thijs@derechtersoftware.nl.
This website
This site sets no cookies and uses no local storage for tracking. Only your theme choice (light or dark) is kept in your own browser, so the site remembers it.
To see which pages are read and how fast the site loads, I use Vercel Web Analytics & Speed Insights. It works without cookies and without storing anything on your device. For each page view, the page address, the referring site, your country, device type, browser and operating system, and load times are sent to Vercel. Your IP address is not stored: Vercel only turns it into a temporary code to count visits, and discards that after 24 hours. I only see totals, nothing that can be traced back to you. I do this on the basis of my legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): knowing whether the site works and is found.
The site runs on Vercel Inc. Like any web server, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the page and prevent abuse, also on the basis of legitimate interest. I don't use that data. Vercel is based in the United States and processes data on my behalf; the transfer is covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Vercel is certified.
If you email me
If you email me, I keep your message and email address in my mailbox to reply to you, and no longer than needed for that. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering your question, or preparing an agreement if that is what your question is about. I don't share your details with anyone.
Fonts and video
The fonts are served from this server, so no requests go to Google. A YouTube video only loads when you click play, and then from youtube-nocookie.com.
The products
Stippa and Idle Server Defender each have their own privacy policy:
Your rights
You can always ask which data I hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted or transferred. You can also object to processing or ask me to restrict it. Email thijs@derechtersoftware.nl for that; I'll reply within a month. If you disagree with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
