Stippa's help centre, in every language the app speaks
Stippa works in Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Polish and Ukrainian, and as of this week so does its help centre. Screenshots included, in your language.
Stippa is available in 7 languages. A salon can use the app in Dutch, but also in English, German, French, Spanish, Polish or Ukrainian. The help centre (opens an external site) was limping along behind. This week it caught up: every article is now available in every language of the app.
Help in the language of the app
Say you use Stippa in Polish. Then you want the instructions in Polish too, not an article that switches to Dutch halfway through. An app you use in your own language, with a manual in another one, feels like a car with the dashboard in Japanese. It works, but it's not exactly comfortable.
There's some self-interest as well. I answer the support email myself. Every question a salon can solve in the help centre is a salon that doesn't have to wait for me. That's faster for everyone.
Screenshots that speak your language
Instructions with a screenshot in the wrong language only help halfway. The text says ‘Save’, the picture says ‘Opslaan’, and there you are. So I no longer take the screenshots by hand. They're generated per language, from the app itself, so every article shows exactly the screens the salon has in front of it.

That saves work later, too. When a screen changes, nobody has to retake screenshots by hand in every language. They're simply generated again.
There's more on how Stippa is put together in the case study.
